Save Baby Seals from Slaughter

We are happy baby seals living in Canada. Last year, we watched hunters come and kill over 330,000 of our friends and family by clubbing them, dragging them over the ice and skinning them, sometimes while they were still alive. They are coming back this year, and we are very scared.

It is legal in Canada to kill us when we are about 12 days old, when we have not yet learned how to swim and cannot defend ourselves or escape.

The sealing industry claims that it is killing more of us because of an increased demand for fur. Although the U.S. banned the sale of seal fur in 1972, anyone wearing the fur of animals is responsible for creating a demand for fur, which pushes Canadian hunters to club more of us each year.

Please help us by sending a pre-written e-mail to our government officials, who are supposed to protect us, but are allowing us to be killed instead. We need 50,000 of you to speak out for us because we can't do it ourselves.

Thank you!
